Of raging fires and flowing rivers.
A land of extremes,
A harsh land,
An old land,
But it is my land,
A land of beauty.
A harsh land,
A land of droughts,
Which bleaches the green from the landscape.
The grass is rarely green,
Only various shades of brown.
The trees are never green,
But shades of olive-brown.
Yet this drought ridden land
Holds a certain beauty,

| I'd like the journal to be used as a sort of bulletin board for events in and around Canberra, Queanbeyan still counts This journal should be editable by members with edits requiring approval. So if you have an event pop it down in the Events section below. Please follow the info template. Now, about the club's gallery. Canberra related works only in the featured folder please. Any medium is welcome. Just submit to the featured folder and I'll move it to the appropriated folder. The featured folder will be displayed on the club's main page on a random cycle. You can submit a limited number of non Canberra related works to the aptly named 'non Canberra related art' folder. The limit is 1 a week. There is no limit on any of the other folders. By Canberra I really mean the ACT region. And ultimately I'd like to organise a dev meet once we've got a decent number of members. I went to one a few years ago and it was pretty good and interesting to meet other artists. Eventually this info will be shifted to one of the side widgets so it doesn't clutter up the journal. I think that covers everything. Any questions? Notes please. |
